Create a children’s trail at Kaweah Oaks Preserve

VTD

Help create a new trail for children on Make A Difference Day Oct. 25 at Kaweah Oaks Preserve.

Sequoia Riverlands Trust, which manages the preserve just east of Visalia, needs 25 volunteers to sign up at www.makeadifferenceday.com. They will create interpretive stops along the trail for the thousands of children who tour the preserve each year.

Activities on MDDAY will include widening trails, removing some underbrush and building bench and picnic table.

Volunteers meet from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Kaweah Oaks which is just north of Highway 198 and just west of Road 180.

For more info about the MDDAY project at Kaweah Oaks, contact Aaron Collins at 738-0211, extension 118.
