Labor Department opens Fresno office for farm laborers

A grand opening ceremony will be held Wednesday for the U.S. Department of Labor’s new Wage and Hour Division office in Fresno.

The office provides federal certificates to work to migrant farm workers and their employers. There are nearly 1,500 registered farm labor contractors in the Central Valley.

Harvesting hope through service

The open house will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at 906 N. St. Suite 105.
